I hereby register the above-listed participant in the activities of the Pender Islands Junior Sailing Association (The Association) whose activities include sailing instruction, boat maintenance and other sailing related functions. I assume full responsibility for any accident causing personal Injury, including death, to the participant listed above, and I hereby agree to indemnify and save harmless The Association and its directors and assistants from any and all manner of actions, causes of action, claims and demands of any nature whatsoever relating from any injury resulting from participation in the activities of The Association. I acknowledge that participants may appear in Association promotional materials. While The Association will not identify Individuals by family name, this material can be available on The Association website. I agree to the following requirements: · Students in CANSail levels 1 and 2 are required to participate in a controlled capsizing exercise. Failure to complete this safety requirement will result in removal from the course without refund. · Refund Policy: After course commencement, voluntary withdrawals or safety/unruly behavior concerns will be without any refund. Covid-related withdrawals or unforeseen course cancellations will be at prorated rates based on remaining course days less a (approximate) $30 charge. Once students are confirmed in a course, refunds (less the $30 fee) initiated by voluntary withdrawals will only be contemplated if that spot can be filled with another candidate. · Participants will abide by all BC Public Health Covid pandemic regulations (should they still be mandated). Persistent violations will lead to discontinuation in the course with no refund. The Association is currently seeking a CANSail level 3 and 4 instructor. If successful, FunSail students will be upgraded to the CANSail 3 and 4 courses with no additional charge.
